CMS Europe Team Leader

Southampton & National

I have been involved in small groups since 1980 when I was at Ichthus Christian Fellowship. Almost all of us from one discipleship group there went into mission work internationally. I was seconded to Peckham Park Road Baptist Church where we developed small home groups in the 1980s. My wife and I then worked in Pakistan in the 1990s where we helped develop a diocesan -based Drug Rehabilitation Project and Christian community for people recovering from drug addiction. Since 1999 I have been part of St James Parish Church, Shirley Southampton, which is transitioning to cell-based church. I have been involved in a defined cell there since 2003 but only now going through the church's cell leadership programme.

I am interested in encouraging missional cells which develop both a local and global aspect of cell, multicultural cells, cross cultural engagement and relating to people of other faiths, and local community involvement, particularly where they relate to people with drug addiction issues.
